Evelyn J. Rosewood is a whimsical storyteller, beloved children’s author, and a supporter for the magic of childhood imagination. Born in a quaint town surrounded by majestic forests and whispering rivers, Evelyn’s early years were steeped in nature’s wonders, fostering a deep love for the earth’s stories and secrets.
A former elementary school teacher with over two decades of experience, Evelyn has always been passionate about nurturing creativity and curiosity in young minds. Her transition from teaching to writing was inspired by her students’ boundless imaginations and her desire to create worlds that children could explore and learn from, beyond the confines of the classroom.
Evelyn’s books are a tapestry of adventure, humor, and heart, often featuring unlikely heroes, enchanted forests, and creatures that speak in riddles. She draws heavily from folklore, her own adventurous travels, and the stories she shared with her students and her two imaginative (now grown) children, who are her first listeners and fiercest critics.
Beyond writing, Evelyn is an avid gardener, a hobbyist seamstress, and an advocate for children’s literacy. She believes that every child holds a universe within them, brimming with potential and dreams. Through her stories, she hopes to ignite the spark of adventure, kindness, and curiosity in every young reader, encouraging them to explore both the world around them and the vast landscapes of their imagination.
Evelyn resides in a cozy cottage in the Midwest by the woods with a little stream, which she shares with her husband, a mischievous cat named Nugget, and a cheerful dog named Bluesy. She is currently working on her next book.
